Chapter 4: How do I find the perfect job for me?
And we come to the point â how to find the perfect job? How to discover the sphere that brings joy in your life, so that working is not a tiring and unrewarding habit, but a way to feel useful and contributing? The answer is amazingly simple â all you need to do is look inside you. Here the basis of Wicca applies without exceptions: you do have all the answers and as long as you truly listen to yourself, you will find them.
There are two general approaches to discover the job that will suit you best. First, you can use meditation to look in the deepest parts of yourself, analyze your observations and decide on the sphere you would feel most comfortable to develop. And second â you can work on your bond with the Universe and let the universal laws guide you in establishing your professional development. Both tasks are quite spiritual, so in this chapter will not focus on pragmatic purpose like in the previous ones.
First and most important thing is to consider your background and education. It will be easier for you if you have consistent professional development, but fortunately, it is not absolutely necessary. People change their field of work all the time, they venture for new career even in their mature age, so everything is possible. The best situation is when you are aware of your strongest features and you look for development, which corresponds to your background. It comes naturally that in this case things will happen quicker and without too much effort, which is why we will not discuss it.
When your experience differs from your background education, you need to select an aspect you would like to focus on. It is not a rare thing for specialists with financial education to become writers or doctors to become singers, for example. Such a drastic change is usually an indicator of reconsidering their personal desires. It also happens when for some reason a person is guided into dedication to something more widely accepted as prestigious or rewarding (in terms of money). Very often parents think they make favors to their children by making them study to become lawyers or economists. This might work out, but some of these people were just not fit for such occupation. They graduate from law schools, often start practicing, but they do not feel satisfied. Their lives are not completed â something is missing. If this were your case, you would have to discover what makes you want to change the sphere of realization. It could be a hidden talent you did not develop as a child; or you are a humanitarian by nature, but work as a mathematician. There are various reasons for feeling you do not belong to the job you do, that is not the right one for you. If you feel that way, I strongly recommend a change in your professional development.
